MusicXChange goal is preservation of traditional music through field recording.
“Adzogbo” is a traditional dance of the Ge/Ewe/Fon/Gbe people, originaly from Benin, Togo and the Volta Region of Ghana. It is a war dance used to celebrate spirit chiefs, and festival as well as other functions of local royalties.
Aflao Adzogbo Group based in Aflao in the Volta Region of Ghana, is amongst the few ensembles that are preserving and maintaing the cultural tradition of Adzogbo music, as well as its social and spiritual value.
